Commercial Boiler Gas Safety Certificate (CP15)
Our Service
Keep Your Business Heating Legal and Safe
Running a commercial building means dealing with powerful heating systems. A faulty commercial boiler isn’t just a breakdown risk; it’s a safety hazard. At Safety Property, our Gas Safe registered engineers specialize in non-domestic testing. We provide the essential CP15 certification you need to prove your boiler plant is operating safely and efficiently.
Why Choose Safety Property?
Commercial Specialists: We don’t just do homes; our team holds specific accreditations for large-scale commercial pipework and boilers.
Fast Certification: Receive your digital CP15/CP17 certificate straight to your inbox immediately after the inspection.
Legal Compliance: We ensure you meet the strict requirements of the Gas Safety (Installation and Use) Regulations 1998.
Service Standards:
Thorough Testing: We check flue flow, operating pressure, safety devices, and ventilation requirements.
Plant Room Audits: We inspect not just the boiler, but the entire plant room environment for gas leaks and safety risks.
Fixed Pricing: Transparent quotes based on the kilowatt (kW) rating and number of appliances—no hidden hourly fees.
Prevent Carbon Monoxide
Commercial boilers are powerful appliances. If they malfunction, they can produce deadly levels of Carbon Monoxide (CO). Our rigorous flue gas analysis detects these invisible dangers before they harm your staff.
Legal Obligation
If you own or manage a commercial property, the law requires an annual gas safety check. Failure to possess a valid CP15 certificate is a criminal offense that can lead to heavy fines or closure.
Boiler Efficiency
A correctly adjusted boiler burns less fuel. During the inspection, we check the combustion ratio, often identifying efficiency issues that—once fixed—can save your business money on energy bills.
Insurance Requirement
Commercial building insurance almost always invalida. tes claims for fire or explosion if you cannot prove the gas appliances were professionally maintained and certified annually

What is a CP15 Certificate?
The CP15 (Commercial Gas Safety Record) is the official documentation required for the commissioning and servicing of commercial gas boilers. Unlike a domestic check, this covers boilers with a heat input of over 70kW.
During the visit, our engineer performs a “commissioning” or “annual service” check. We analyze the Combustion Performance, check the Flue Integrity, and test the Safety Shut-off Valves. This report confirms that the appliance is safe to use for another 12 months.
Why is the CP15 Mandatory?
Neglecting a commercial boiler is a high-stakes gamble. The potential for gas leaks and explosions is significantly higher in commercial plant rooms due to the volume of gas used.

Common Questions
FAQs About Commercial Boiler Checks
Commercial gas rules can be complicated. Here are the answers to the questions facility managers ask us most often about CP15 and CP17 certificates.
By law, you must have your commercial gas appliances checked every 12 months. The certificate is valid for one year.
CP12 is for domestic properties (homes) with standard boilers. CP15/CP16/CP17 are for commercial properties (offices, warehouses, schools) with large boilers (over 70kW) or extensive pipework.
Yes. While the CP15 covers the boiler specifically, we usually issue a CP16 (or equivalent testing) for the commercial pipework strength and tightness if requested, ensuring there are no leaks in the supply lines.
If our engineer finds a dangerous fault, they are legally required to turn the boiler off and label it "Do Not Use." We will provide a report explaining exactly what needs to be fixed to make it safe again.
